About us

Cargoos Logistics is a non-asset-based freight brokerage headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, specializing in long-haul full truckload freight — our average shipment runs more than 1,000 miles. We operate as Power Transport Solutions, Inc. dba Cargoos Logistics, an FMCSA-authorized property broker (MC-990007, USDOT 2931641). Since 2013 we have brokered more than 16,000 loads for shippers in the 48 contiguous states and Canada, including over 4,000 under the Cargoos brand since 2022.

What we move

We arrange full truckload, partial and LTL freight on dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, step deck, box truck and specialized equipment. Alongside standard truckload service we handle expedited, dedicated, surge and overflow capacity for shippers whose volume does not run flat across the year.

Our carrier network covers more than 800 vetted carriers, and we source additional capacity through DAT when a lane calls for it. Actual availability varies by lane, date and equipment, which is why we quote against live capacity rather than a fixed rate card.

How we work

Technology narrows the search; people make the call. Our AI-assisted matching system is configured around each client’s lanes, site rules, approved carriers and service priorities, so the search starts from best-fit capacity rather than the whole market. An experienced operator then validates the fit before any load is tendered.

Every carrier is screened through Carrier411, FlexShieldPro and Highway before tender, covering carrier identity, operating authority, insurance and load-level risk signals. Freight fraud increasingly involves bad actors posing as legitimate carriers, and identity verification is the point where that gets caught.

Once a load is moving, our own AI tracking system, integrated with FourKites and Motive, provides real-time visibility from pickup through delivery. Our Chicago office is open Monday to Friday 7:00–18:00 and Saturday 8:30–14:00, but load monitoring runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A Cargoos representative watches over every active load, including overnight and over weekends.

Leadership

Power Transport Solutions, Inc. has operated since 2013 and launched the Cargoos Logistics brand in 2022. Jaymie Freeman serves as Chief Executive Officer and leads day-to-day freight operations. Art Gronus serves as Chief Financial Officer. Together they have run the company through more than a decade of freight cycles, from the pandemic capacity crunch to the rate corrections that followed.

Our mission

Our mission is to make truckload capacity predictable. Every lane we run tells us something — which carriers perform, where capacity tightens, what a fair rate looks like at a given moment — and we feed that back into how we quote and cover the next load. Shippers should not have to trade price against reliability, and the way to close that gap is better information applied earlier. That is what we build toward, and it is how we grow: by making each shipper’s next load easier to move than the last.

Who we work with

We work primarily with construction, industrial and manufacturing shippers, and also move food and beverage, building materials and produce freight. Customers have included Edward Don, GAF, Barry, Impact Plastics, Precision Machinery Systems, CM Detention Products, All American Compactors, Texas Chutes, Chute Systems, Menifee Metals Manufacturing and Tower Recycling Systems.

Coverage and compliance

Cargoos Logistics carries $2,000,000 in commercial general liability insurance, $100,000 in contingent cargo insurance and a $75,000 broker bond. Every carrier hauling our freight must additionally carry cargo insurance of at least $100,000 with no cargo exclusion, and auto liability with a combined single limit of at least $1,000,000, with Cargoos named as certificate holder.
