Key Principles

  1. Long-Term Trends Matter: Focus on consistency over time, similar to credit history.
  2. Weighted Metrics: Different aspects (safety, punctuality, quality) carry different weights.
  3. Risk Assessment: Higher scores indicate reliability, lower scores suggest risk.
  4. Time Decay Factor: Older issues impact the score less over time.

5. Transparent Formula: Drivers and carriers understand how scores are calculated.

Score Overview
Range: 300 to 850 (similar to a credit score).
• 300–579: High risk (needs improvement).
• 580–669: Fair (acceptable but room for growth).
• 670–739: Good (reliable performance).
• 740–799: Very good (above average).
• 800–850: Exceptional (elite performer).
Base Score: All carriers and drivers start with 600.

Core Metrics and Weights

  1. Safety (40%)
    Key Factors:
    • Accident frequency and severity.
    • Adherence to safety regulations (speed limits, vehicle checks).
    Example Impact:
    • +10 points for each month accident-free.
    • -50 points for a minor accident.
    • -100 to -300 points for severe accidents.
  2. Punctuality (30%)
    Key Factors:
    • Percentage of on-time deliveries (measured over the past 6 months).
    • Delay duration and frequency.

Example Impact:
• +5 points for maintaining 95% on-time delivery over a month.
• -10 points for minor delays (<1 hour). • -50 points for frequent or extreme delays (>6 hours).

  1. Quality (20%)
    Key Factors:
    • Damage-free delivery rates.
    • Losses or complaints related to damaged goods.
    Example Impact:
    • +5 points for each month of 100% damage-free deliveries.
    • -50 points for major damage claims.
    • -100 points for lost shipments.
  2. Experience and Tenure (10%)
    Key Factors:
    • Length of time driving for Cargoos.
    • Number of completed deliveries.
    Example Impact:
    • +5 points for every 6 months of service without issues.
    • +2 points per 100 completed deliveries.
    Adjustments and Modifiers
  3. Recency of Issues:
    • Recent infractions (e.g., accidents or delays within the past 3 months) carry full weight.
    • Older infractions (6–12 months) have reduced impact (e.g., -50% weight).
Issues older than 1 year no longer affect the score.
  4. Score Recovery:
    • After 6 months of flawless performance, infractions from the past year are neutralized (score gradually rebounds).
  5. Maxed-Out Benefits:

• Drivers cannot exceed 850, ensuring motivation for sustained excellence.

How the Score Changes
• Initial Score: Starts at 600. (START)
Bonus Points:
• +10 points for driver training/certifications.
• +20 points for customer awards or recognition.
